Job Description:

 The Boys & Girls Club of St Joseph County (BGC), an affiliate of the Family & Children's Center (FCC), and its mission is to enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. BGC provides children a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing program and character development experiences; and hope and opportunity.  We are searching for a dynamic and energetic Executive Director who will adhere to the highest standards of moral, ethical conduct and absolute integrity.

The Executive Director will lead the agency in providing developmental services to youth.  Some duties for this position include:

  • Lead  board and staff in providing effective youth development services programs within a positive and supportive environment
  • Prepare, represent and defend annual budget
  • Assist in ensuring that the annual revenue budget is funded
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic development plan.
  • Maintains accreditation with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America
  • Effectively communicates and represents agency mission to the public, staff and board. 
  • Establish and maintains effective alliances and partnerships with community leaders and other service agencies
  • Assumes responsibility for setting and achieving annual  development goals

Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be passionately committed to youth development and youth issues and have a bachelor's degree with 7-10 years executive leadership experience with previous documented success in fundraising/development required.  Candidate will possess appropriate executive level fiscal, personnel and resource management skills; will be capable in analyzing data developing alternatives, developing and executing plans and leading staff in mission.  Candidate will possess effective relationship and representational skills and be able to work effectively with a broad range people to include voluntary board, staff and the general pubic.
